The Board and Management of Botswana’s oldest and leading funeral service provider, Funeral Services Group (FSG), confirm the Mr. Mike Nikolic, co-founder and Managing Director of the business, has chosen to leave the FSG team effective 28th January 2019. Mr. Nikolic leaves the business after 26 years at the helm to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Vijayan Narayanan, CFO of the business for the last 12 years, has been appointed as the interim Managing Director and steps have been taken to ensure a smooth transition. The process of identifying a substantive Managing Director for FSG has begun. This is a process that will be handled with due care and the utmost governance protocols, identifying only the very best for the role, and thus not a process that will be rushed. Key stakeholders will be updated on any further leadership developments as appropriate.
FSG has grown tremendously into a truly incredible Botswana business, well reputed and valued both locally and regionally. For his contribution to this and over two decades of commitment to the brand, we thank Mr. Nikolic and wish him the best in his next chapter.
