Deloitte Africa has announced the appointment of Cecilia Ramatlapeng to succeed Max Marinelli as the Country Managing Partner for its Botswana practice effective from 1 June 2020. Marinelli will continue to act in his present role and service our clients across Botswana until 31 May 2020.
Ramatlapeng, the first female citizen partner in an international firm in Botswana, is a seasoned partner in the Audit & Assurance practice with over 22 years of experience and currently serves some of the largest private and public entities in Botswana. During her time at Deloitte, she has led multifaceted audit and financial advisory assignments, served in many leadership roles and has championed training and development of future accountants within the firm.

Ramatlapeng is currently a Council Member and the Vice President of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants. Her interest and passion for socio-economic development in Botswana, particularly mentoring young people, has seen her take on roles beyond the scope of her work at Deloitte.
