Access Bank Botswana Announces Strategic Leadership Appointments in Credit and Human Resources

Access Bank Botswana has announced two strategic appointments to its leadership team: Kagiso Pontsho as Head of Credit, and Njalakangwa Ndzinge as Head of Human Resources. These appointments reflect the Bank’s continued commitment to operational excellence, sustainable growth, and investing in strong, forward-thinking leadership.

Kagiso Pontsho brings with her a wealth of experience spanning 20 years in the financial services sector, with 15 of those years dedicated to credit. Her career began in small business consultancy and development finance at the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA), where she focused on building the capacity of local enterprises. She later transitioned into business process engineering and change management, gaining vital expertise in governance, policy development, and team leadership. Her specialization in credit spans deal origination, portfolio management, credit operations, and recoveries. Kagiso has held key leadership roles across Botswana and eSwatini.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Botswana and has completed numerous professional development programs focused on credit skills, business consultancy, and leadership. Beyond her professional achievements, she is actively involved in a faith-based women’s movement that connects and empowers women.

Njalakangwa Ndzinge joins as Head of Human Resources with more than 15 years of experience as both a generalist Human Capital practitioner and a Human Capital Consultant. She has led end-to-end recruitment for prominent organizations across Botswana and South Africa. Her professional journey also includes senior roles in various companies in the insurance, motor, and pension fund industry, where she provided strategic support in areas such as performance management, remuneration, learning and development, employee relations, and engagement.

She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Heriot-Watt University, as well as a Bachelor of Social Science (Honors) degree in Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Labour, Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Town. She is also a Certified Talent Practitioner.
